Overview: Established in 2007, Ortega’s Nopalitos is the second largest provider of the prickly pear cactus pads, aka Nopales, in the Houston area. Nopales are a very high in fiber, low calorie vegetable that has not gotten a lot of attention over the years and Ortega’s Nopalitos was looking to change that.
Problem: The product did not have a strong voice or brand identity and was not positioned to the health benefits it provides. Mainly distributed to hispanic grocery stores, they wanted to market their product to more health conscience consumers and stores such as Whole Foods.
Solution: A complete rebrand was strategized that included a new logo, packaging, website and POP fridge displays. The new fridge displays that housed the product were designed to create more in-store attraction and direct consumers to their website. Social media posts on Instagram were also made in order to create more buzz about the product’s rebrand and redirect consumers to the recipes and benefits pages with more information on the
